The Greater Southwest Ecological Corridor is now complete in our borough! This large-scale project connects major biodiversity areas between LaSalle and the river, creating a continuous green network in the heart of the city.
Winner of the City of Montreal’s first participatory budget, this citizen-led project is a fine example of concrete action for ecological transition.
In LaSalle, this has resulted in the enhancement of green alleys, the addition of new biodiversity islands, and the planting of trees, shrubs, and pollinator gardens. Educational facilities complete the picture, raising awareness among young and old alike about the richness of our urban environment.
At Équipe LaSalle, we are proud to have supported this green and citizen-led initiative, which contributes to making our community healthier, greener, and more resilient.
