Nancy Blanchet is the new leader of the Équipe LaSalle Team party

In 2013, Manon Barbe, Mayor of the Borough of LaSalle since 2001, decided to create Équipe Barbe Team, a party that is not affiliated with any of Montréal’s major political parties and whose vision is focused on the quality of life of LaSalle residents.

Following Manon Barbe’s announcement in 2021 that she was retiring from the political arena at the end of her mandate and the ensuing leadership race, Councillor Nancy Blanchet who had been in office since 2013 was elected by acclamation.

Renamed Équipe LaSalle Team, the party remains composed of committed and experienced LaSalle residents, many of whom have been serving the LaSalle population for several years. All of them work tirelessly to place LaSalle residents at the heart of decisions and manage our Borough in a sound and efficient manner so as to preserve our local identity.
