Équipe LaSalle Team has made the collective good its priority and is committed to continuing to act in the general interest and welfare of LaSalle citizens in order to work towards building a sustainable, dynamic and prosperous community.
The team has proven its ability to manage the Borough in a sound and honest way, by remaining attentive to its residents, while displaying courage and determination. Proud LaSalloises and LaSallois, all members continue to work towards making our Borough grow and shine.
Équipe LaSalle Team strives for the harmonious development of LaSalle's living conditions, while respecting both the environment and the sharing of skills and public funds.
Although quite ambitious, these commitments are based on past experience and achievements.

Équipe LaSalle Team acknowledges the importance of citizens' commitment to the progress and well-being of their community. The creation of an environment conducive to the exercise of citizenship and to a dynamic and inclusive collective life is a priority for the team members. In order to promote dialogue between the Administration and the population, Équipe LaSalle Team will provide more opportunities for exchanges allowing citizens' experience and expertise to be put to good use and will implement innovative and sustainable means of sharing information.
Équipe LaSalle Team is committed to:
- To increase LaSalle residents' sense of belonging and pride in their borough by encouraging their participation in the community's vitality.
- Creating a position for a Community Development and Citizen Involvement Coordinator to initiate a dialogue on local issues and priorities.
- Dedicating a fund to support initiatives that promote citizen involvement in the community and the dynamism of neighbourhood life.
- Maintaining and encouraging citizen involvement within the Borough's various organizations (Table d'action et de concertation en sécurité urbaine, LaSalle Youth Council, Comité de mobilité et de circulation, Urban Planning Advisory Committee, Sustainable Development Committee).
- Maintain close communication with the population on the various issues and projects.

- Continue ongoing efforts to improve snow removal, street and sidewalk repair, as well as cleanliness and safety.
- Supporting the improvement of street and sidewalk maintenance services.
- Encouraging the expansion of community, sports and recreation services by local partners.
- Diversifying and enhancing community facilities and amenities in parks and green spaces
- Maintaining the quality and cleanliness of parks and green spaces.
- Pursuing efforts to ensure the safety and animation of parks during the summer season.
- Promote and support volunteer associations.

- Continue to support the establishment of a palliative care home in the LaSalle area.

- Creating a committee comprised of partners and citizens dedicated to the implementation of a Universal Accessibility Plan for LaSalle's infrastructures and facilities.
- Integrating universal accessibility into the renovation of swimming pools.
- Ensuring that playground equipment is made available to youth with reduced mobility or disabilities.
- Enhance the fluvial heritage of LaSalle and its canals.
- Enhancing and providing access to river views by maintaining visual breakthroughs.
- Providing the linear park along the river with facilities for family activities, including waste garbage cans for briquettes and BBQ stands.
- Suggesting the installation of urban furniture in the linear park along the aqueduct.
- Ensure increased cleanliness of public areas and green spaces.
- Make sure that the work done by Montréal on the odour treatment unit (OTU) network is carried out according to plan.
Providing a safe living environment requires the investment of coordinated forces in order to enhance the quality of life and the peace of mind of LaSalle's population.

Équipe LaSalle Team is committed to:
- Provide a safe living environment for LaSalle residents.
- Pursuing the Borough's commitment by co-chairing, coordinating and financing the Table d'action et de concertation en sécurité urbaine de LaSalle.
- Keeping a fund, managed by the Table d'action et de concertation en sécurité urbaine, to support prevention actions undertaken by local organizations
- Consolidating the interaction with the Service de police de la ville de Montréal (SPVM) and the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM) on local issues and priorities related to public safety
- Maintaining the summer police cadet patrol in LaSalle, in collaboration with the Service de police de la ville de Montréal (SPVM).
- Assigning a number of police cadets on summer patrol to monitor the bicycle path along the waterfront.
- Collaborating in the implementation of a shelter for women victims of violence on the territory.
- Multiplying and diversifying the efforts to pursue the Borough's action in the fight of graffiti.
- Improving street and public space lighting.
- Expand efforts to improve the safety of all road users.

- As part of roadway repairs, reduce street widths by creating curb extensions and increasing the canopy to help reduce speed and increase pedestrian safety.
- Propose innovative actions to reduce motorists' speed and ensure a smoother and safer sharing of the road.

- Continue to improve the safety of intersections with a high accident potential.
For Équipe LaSalle Team, respect for the environment requires harmony between urban development efforts and respect for the health and natural resources within our community. The contribution of all local actors is critical to ensure the environmental transformation of our living environment. It is within this scope that Équipe LaSalle Team intends to pursue the implementation of the LaSalle Sustainable Development Plan and to assume its leadership role, limiting the environmental impacts of its actions on the community's natural environment and on the citizens' quality of life.

- Ensure LaSalle's leadership in sustainable development with the implementation of the Green Pact.
- Planting 5,000 trees on the LaSalle territory.
- Establishing a network of "cool islands" in various LaSalle neighbourhoods.
- Continuing the demineralization of parking lots under the Borough's jurisdiction.
- Maintaining the annual waterfront cleanup.
- Pursuing and promoting the subsidy program for cloth diapers and feminine hygiene products.
- Providing citizens with various tools to increase their ability to manage residual materials.
- Promoting the tree planting program for each birth and adoption.
- Increasing the number of charging stations for electric cars and the number of parking spaces available for car-sharing in the borough.
- Encouraging the creation of new community and collective gardens.
- Increasing beautification efforts in the borough through additional flower beds and flower boxes.
- Continuing the gradual replacement of garbage cans in the borough with underground bins.
- Define guidelines to encourage urban agriculture in a context of mutual harmony and respect for urban planning standards.
- Integrate the notion of ecological sustainability into all the Borough's regulations and programs.
- Encourage initiatives stemming from the "Live without Trace" movement.
- Launch an awareness campaign to encourage citizens to contribute to the cleanliness of public spaces daily.

- Carry on the financial support and partnership with the Éco-quartier.
- Keep up the collaboration with Héritage-Laurentien for the maintenance and valorization of natural sites, including Parc des Rapides.
Assuming leadership within the LaSalle community, Équipe LaSalle Team members intend to use all means necessary to achieve the goals collectively identified. As the voice of LaSalle residents at City Council, the team wishes to defend local priorities, while complying with respective jurisdictions and working in a spirit of cooperation with central services. Drawing strength from its proximity to the population and its willingness to listen to their concerns, Équipe LaSalle Team promises to act in the best interests of LaSalle residents.

- Maintain effective and tight financial management with the lowest possible tax bill.
- Maintaining an efficient and effective management system, based on integrity, boldness and professionalism.
- Guaranteeing maximum municipal investment on the territory.
- Fostering key investments by paying for them through the Borough's operating budget.
- Defend LaSalle's priorities with the Central Administration.

- Further defending the powers legally conferred upon elected Borough officials with a perspective of sound and efficient municipal management that also respects local realities and specificities.
- Evaluating the results and impacts of the temporary transfer of certain Borough competencies to the City.
The ongoing upgrades of public infrastructures and facilities, as well as the monitoring of the built environment's development efforts, contribute to the Borough's growth as well as to the cohabitation of the various uses on the territory. Équipe LaSalle Team wants to ensure the quality of the infrastructures available to the population of LaSalle and to promote a regulatory framework that allows for harmonious urban expansion consistent with the Borough's vision.

- Enforce or review the preservation regulations to ensure the protection of built heritage.
- Support collective efforts to preserve heritage buildings in the LaSalle area.
- Implement concrete actions on public spaces as part of the Airlie Street revitalization and support collective actions.

- Requesting the acquisition of the land at the corner of Airlie Street and 90th Avenue to create a green space for the benefit of the neighbourhood population.
- Develop a vision for the redevelopment of the Seagram sector.
- Encourage the provision of social and affordable housing in the area.

- Ensure collaboration with the Provincial and Federal Governments for the integration of affordable housing in residential projects.
- Maintain close collaboration with Ville de Montreal's Housing Department to ensure the healthiness of housing on the territory.
- Encourage housing development to achieve diversity in the housing supply.
- Update the Site Planning and Architectural Integration Program (SPAIP) for Village des Rapides and Highlands.
- Dedicate a fund for the acquisition of land along the river to increase the size of the linear park.
- Lobby Ville de Montréal to acquire the section of Parc des Rapides owned by Hydro-Québec.
- Propose innovative solutions to establish a harmonious cohabitation between residential and industrial zones.
- Support community initiatives to ensure the preservation of the supply of commercial space on the territory.
As an active partaker in the urban development, the improvement of the living environment as well as the commercial and industrial growth of the Borough, the improvement of the car, public and active transportation offer is vital. Équipe LaSalle Team will make mobility one of its top priorities, focusing on the mix of transportation options, while ensuring the safety of users and the harmonious sharing of the roads.
Équipe LaSalle Team is committed to:
- Diversify the transportation modes offered on the LaSalle territory.
- Defending the Borough's requests to the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) and Ville de Montréal for the implementation of a structuring public transit system on the LaSalle territory and for the realization of any other project that would open up the area.
- Asserting the will to plan the extension of the green line of the metro to LaSalle.
- Continuing to lobby the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and the Agence de transport (AMT) in order to improve the bus and train network on the LaSalle territory.
- Pursuing the planning of the green screen on the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) right-of-way.
- Work with Central Services to improve the cycling network through the upgrading and creation of on- and off-road protected trails.
- Advocating for an increase in the number of electric Bixi stations in the borough.
- Include the relocation of the bus terminal in the Seagram redevelopment.
- Encouraging the implementation of car-sharing parking lots.
- Lobbying Montreal partners to ensure that LaSalle's population is served by the self-service car-sharing offer.
- Ensure the quality and safety of the roads and bicycle infrastructures on the territory.

- Pursue efforts to support commercial and industrial development in LaSalle.
- Dedicating resources to support businesses and industries.
- Promoting the services of PME-Mtl Grand-Sud-Ouest and providing a service point at Borough Hall.
- Ensuring the vitality of LaSalle's industrial park by welcoming innovative and job-creating industries.
- Supporting the development of the Innovation Corridor.
- Contribute to the revitalization of commercial streets in the Village des Rapides, Dollard and Newman sectors.
- Investing in promotional efforts and providing incentives to attract local businesses to commercial streets.
- Planning a strategy to enhance the local commercial offer.
- Stimulating the creation of associations or groups of shop owners on the LaSalle territory and supporting the implementation of initiatives that favour their influence.
- Providing financial assistance to retail associations or groups of retailers that contribute to the outreach of commercial streets.

- Support and guide community organizations, social partners and volunteer groups in the borough.
- Supporting projects and organizations that fight poverty and social exclusion.
- Reassessing the use of space and offices at Borough Hall to provide additional permanent space for LaSalle organizations
- Recognizing the contribution of volunteers in community, associative and recreational organizations, both in LaSalle and in Montréal.
- Supporting programs that encourage students to persevere in school and to adopt healthy eating and physical activity habits.

In order to offer a dynamic living environment where physical activity is encouraged and valued, Équipe LaSalle Team supports the establishment of a local offer of affordable, diversified and quality sports and leisure activities for LaSalle residents of all ages.
Équipe LaSalle Team is committed to:
- Adopt a local Sports and Recreation Policy.
- Increase investments in our parks and community facilities to sustain their high quality.
- Completing the skatepark project at Raymond Park.
- Diversifying the sports offer at Parc du canal de l'Aqueduc by installing a pump track. Participating in the development of new adult sports facilities in the parks.
- Installing and maintaining the cross-country ski trail in the linear park along the river on an annual basis.
- Investing to complete the rehabilitation of the Dollard-St-Laurent Sports Centre and the Aquadome.
- Continuing to upgrade the outdoor pool facilities.
- Encourage the free practice of unorganized sports and recreation activities outside of the time slots set aside by school groups and sports and recreation organizations.
- Offer enough sanitary facilities accessible year-round in the linear park along the river.
- Support the organization of sports events that promote LaSalle's reputation and favour access to the river.
- Be responsive and help evaluate the feasibility of any projects proposed by our local partners with regard to sports or recreational facilities.
