On May 5, the LaSalle Borough Council approved a financial contribution of $1,038,816 for seven local organizations—Bienvenue à l’immigrant, the Centre du Vieux Moulin de LaSalle, the Comité logement Lachine-LaSalle, Destination Travail du Sud-Ouest de l’Île de Montréal, Maison des familles de LaSalle, Maison des jeunes de LaSalle, and Nutri-Centre LaSalle—under the 2024–2029 MESS-Ville Financial Assistance Agreement.

This partnership between the City of Montreal and the Ministry of Employment and Social Solidarity (MESS) aims to reduce poverty and social exclusion through concrete projects led by organizations committed to their communities. These initiatives help strengthen the social safety net, improve quality of life, and build a more equitable and inclusive community in LaSalle.

For the borough council, organizations are at the heart of our community: they play an essential role in serving our populations and responding to the real needs of LaSalle’s citizens.
