Josée Troilo was born in Montreal a few months after her parents immigrated from Italy. The family settled in LaSalle in 1974, first on rue Jean-Milot, then on rue Strathyre, where Ms. Troilo still resides.
A certified member of the Greater Montreal Real Estate Board since 1983, she has been working in the real estate business ever since after successfully passing her real estate broker’ exams in 2006.
She has been a volunteer on the Board of Directors of the Caisse populaire de LaSalle since 1996 and took her first steps in politics during the 2008 by-election in the Cecil-P.-Newman district. She ran again in 2009, 2013 and 2017 and was re-elected each time with a comfortable majority.
As a Borough Councillor, she has served on the Urban Planning Advisory Committee for the past four years and has also been a member of the Agglomeration Council Commission on Economic Development.
Her interest in improving the quality of life of LaSalle residents is reflected in her involvement with several local bodies, including the Table d’action et de concertation en sécurité urbaine de LaSalle and the Table de développement social de LaSalle. She has also been involved for several years with the LaSalle Hospital Foundation.
