Nancy Blanchet

Borough Mayor

Mayor of the borough of LaSalle since 2021, after having been a borough councillor for two terms, Nancy Blanchet has more than 20 years of experience in the municipal, community, and associative sectors, where she has held various strategic positions, notably in social development, project management, and governance.

Holder of a bachelor’s degree with specialization in history from Université Laval, she has directed several social-oriented organizations, notably the Table de développement social de LaSalle and the Regroupement des organisations communautaires en oncologie.

In the context of her municipal mandates, she has chaired the agglomeration council meetings and sat on the Commission on Social Development and Montréal Diversity as well as on the Commission on Finance and Administration of the City of Montréal.

She chaired the Urban Planning Advisory Committee from 2013 to 2021 and was successively entrusted with the portfolios of sports and recreation, social and community development, and sustainable development for the borough.

She has also sat on several boards of directors and committees, including those of Concertation Montréal, Espace Muni, the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal as well as local foundations working in the fields of education, health, and housing. Her commitment reflects a constant connection with public health and community well-being issues.

An engaged woman and eager to contribute to the well-being of her fellow citizens, she values exchange and dialogue with the population.
